OPEN CALL – BACĂU FEST MONODRAMA, ROMANIA, 2023
Bacovia Theatre, from Bacău, Romania is organizing a new and exciting edition of our festival, BACĂU FEST MONODRAMA, this spring, from the 5th to 10th of May 2023.
The actor’s performances in the competition section will be judged by a panel of renowned and highly esteemed artists.
This panel will award the highest distinction of the festival, BACĂU FEST MONODRAMA TROPHY (awarded with 3.000 euro).
Along with the traditional monodrama competition that gives actors the chance to show their talent and capacity to mix and melt together a variety of means and forms of artistic expression (text, dance-theatre, puppetry, multimedia, documentary, musical, poetry, etc.), the festival also brings on stage a variety of spectacular and iconic (non-competition) shows of both Romanian and International performers.
PARTICIPATION RULES:
- The competition is addressed to all actors / actresses.
- The acting performances submitted can be played in any language the actor / actress desires. If the performance is selected in the competition, the actor / actress will provide English subtitles for the audience.
- The performances mustn’t be shorter than 40 minutes or longer than 80 minutes.
- The submission deadline is the 31st of March 2023.
What you need to include in your submission:
- a link to your online recorded performance (YouTube unlisted, Vimeo or a link to a cloud);
- 5 photographs with images from the performance;
- your resume;
- the application will be sent to our email address artistictmb@gmail.com
Further documents will be required once you are confirmed in the competition.
The results of the preliminary selection will be announced on all our means of communication.
The festival organizers will guarantee accommodation, plus reasonable travel expense within Romanian territory, according to the Romanian legislation – 7.5 liters of fuel per 100 km, for a team that cannot consist of more than 6 persons. The festival does not cover rental expenses.
